When was the last time you gave your bird a new toy? Pet
birds rely on us to provide them with food, water, and a
clean environment. Toys are just as important.
Toys
provide exercise, mental stimulation, and inexpensive things
for them to chew on. New toys introduced regularly also
help to alleviate boredom.
Even
though the toys in your bird's cage are still in good condition
or your bird still plays with them it is important to add
a new toy once a month. We recommend a minimum of three
hanging toys and one hand held toy to start out with.
Alternate
different toys depending on texture. Leather, acrylic, rope,
wood, and plastic chain are some of the different textures
to choose from. Some toys contain several textures such
as a wood and leather combination.
