It has recently come to our attention that people listing their bird for sale in the local newspaper are being repeatedly contacted by people representing rescue groups to donate their bird to the rescue organization.
If these organizations are legitimately concerned for each and every bird's welfare then they would not be acquiring birds from multiple sources with unknown or questionable backgrounds to use as inventory for their organization.
Do not be pressured into releasing your bird to these groups no matter how much they call you or try to manipulate you into donating your bird.
At Bird Zone, we help you find a new home for your bird through word of mouth and our private online ads listed below. Your bird is safe (and free from the risk of exposure to disease from other birds) in your own home until we can find a new owner.
We have been very successful in finding new owners and we do this all at no cost to you. |

Do you have a bird you no longer want? We have several great customers who take in unwanted birds. Some of these people work with the birds and get them back to pet quality and then find them new homes.
We, at Bird Zone, do not take in older birds and we do not take in birds to sell on consignment. The probablity of bird diseases increases when you take in birds from multiple sources since most bird diseases are airborne related. We cannot risk the health of our babies in the store.
The best ways to find a new home for your bird are:
- Place an ad in the classified section of your local newspaper
- Place an ad in our online section of www.thebirdzone.com
- Donate your bird to someone who takes in unwanted birds
Please call us at 704-889-4615 and we will try to help you in any way we can. |
